Curriculum

Credits to obtain an NFQ 6 vocational diploma in transformer manufacturing and refurbishment

Credits are the number of notional study hours required for achieving the learning outcomes. Notional hours include study time, assignments and examinations. The credit rating system rates 10 notional hours as equivalent to one credit.

The full learnership offered that the transformer tradeschool accounts for 240 credits and provides you with a vocational diploma at NQF level 6


The entire learnership consists of seven modules, each carrying 35 credits. To complete the different unit standards, you will follow courses with a theoretical component (5 credits), combined with practical lessons (30 credits) and a verification examinination to ensure you have picked-up sufficient knowledge and skills

How long will it take me?

The complete modules can be completed in no less than 4 months, based on 25 hours of learnership input per week. Naturally, this is dependent on the learner and other circumstances

Stripping and Tank Preparation LV and HV Winding
